1. Bookings & Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. A booking is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed.

All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

2. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to departure are eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure are non-refundable.

No-shows or failure to arrive at the agreed meeting location and time will be treated as a cancellation and are non-refundable.

If ECOTRAILS must cancel a walk due to unsafe weather conditions, guide illness, or unforeseen circumstances, guests will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

3. Changes to Bookings

Requests to change booking dates are subject to availability and must be made at least 48 hours prior to departure. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable changes where possible.

4. Fitness & Participation

ECOTRAILS experiences involve walking on uneven terrain and require a reasonable level of mobility and balance. By booking, guests confirm they are physically able to participate safely.

Guests are responsible for ensuring they wear appropriate footwear and bring suitable clothing for outdoor conditions.

ECOTRAILS reserves the right to decline participation if a guest appears unable to safely complete the walk.

5. Health & Medical Conditions

Guests must inform ECOTRAILS at the time of booking of any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or allergies that may affect participation.

While guides carry basic first aid equipment, guests remain responsible for managing their own medical needs.

6. Weather Conditions

Walks operate in most weather conditions. Routes or timing may be adjusted at the guide’s discretion to ensure safety and comfort.

Safety decisions made by the guide are final.

7. Risk Acknowledgement

Outdoor activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to uneven terrain, changing weather, and natural environmental hazards.

By booking, guests acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to follow all guide instructions throughout the experience.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ECOTRAILS accepts no liability for loss, damage, injury, or delay beyond its reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights under New Zealand consumer law.

9. Photography

ECOTRAILS may take photographs during walks for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to appear in photographs, please inform your guide prior to departure.

10. Acceptance of Terms

By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
